Blog ideas

  • Create your monthly news articles online with the ability for comments and suggestions
  • Post weekly math mystery for students to solve in collaboration with one another.
  • Local history - post some pictures of the community, perhaps from the past, and have students and community people identify the pictures and what they mean to the community.
  • Post images from a microscope for students to identify. "What is under our microscope?". Have students support their identification with reasons for their answer.
  • Post a real world "problem" and have student groups identify a solution with research to backup their solution's feasibility.
  • Have students identify issues that are important to them. Post an issue and invite students to contribute facts and then their position on the issue. Have students suggest solutions. Since comments can be previewed by the owner of the blog, this is a good way to have students create entries in a blog.
